About the Position

As a professional leader within the valuation team at Land Services SA, Senior Valuer will undertake a range of operational and strategic functions that facilitate business efficiency and workforce development.

Key areas of focus will include a variety of functions such as general valuation and supplementary valuation outcomes, policy and process reform, audit and compliance functions, market analysis and project work, and the preparation of the most complex/sensitive strategic advice and valuation reports.

Key Outcomes of the Role

  • Providing expert valuation advise and reports on a range of residential and related property across the state.
  • Resolving complex valuation issues with innovative solutions that are consistent with LSSA’s obligations to the Office of the Valuer-General.
  • Undertaking research and analysis, interpretation of findings and preparation of reports relating to statutory valuation outcomes or broader LSSA initiatives.
  • Contributing to policy advice, quality assurance initiatives and change management across LSSA.
  • Providing expert advice and consultancy regarding current developments in the valuation discipline and their potential implications to LSSA policies and strategic plans as this relates to Peri Urban Property.
  • Contributing to the development of professional standards within the Valuation team and the professional development and mentoring of staff.
  • Undertaking professional duties of a crucial nature including research, analysis and reporting relating to the resolution of complex issues and the management of assigned programs, projects, assets and or services.

Special Conditions and Essential Requirements

Some intrastate travel requiring overnight absences may be required

  • Qualified as a Valuer in accordance with the Land Valuers Act 1994
  • Bachelor of Business (Property) or equivalent
  • RPV or CPV certified
  • API Member desirable
  • A current driver’s licence is essential
