A certificate of title is an official record of land ownership in South Australia. You may need a copy of your certificate for various reasons including lodging development applications or applying for council approval for a pergola or extension.
A copy of a “Certificate of Title” is also called a “Register Search”
Where to begin
You can get a copy of your Certificate of Title online through SAILIS. A fee will apply.
Go to SAILIS, under the Land Search menu option select Register Search Plus. The Register Search Plus will provide you a copy of the Register Search, plan and associated dealings.
You’ll need to know one of these pieces of information about your property:
- Address
- Title reference
- Plan/parcel reference
- Valuation number
You can get your property’s title reference or plan/parcel reference online through the Property Location Browser or from your council rate notice.
