Mark is the Board Chair and Chair of the Audit Committee of Land Services South Australia. Mark is also the Board Chair of Land Services Western Australia, Southern Adelaide Local Health Network, Cortex Interactive Pty Limited and Australia Pet Treats Group. He is also a member of Housing Choices South Australia. Mark has been a full time non-executive director since 2012, when he retired as the South Australia Managing Partner of Ernst & Young, prior to that he worked with the Macquarie Group specialising in corporate and structured finance.
Fiona Balfour has held significant information technology and commercial roles throughout her 40-year career. She has significant expertise in Aviation, Information and Telecommunication Services, and Distribution and Logistics. She has been an independent non-executive director for over 20 years and her current roles are with AirTrunk Holding Company Limited (and its associated businesses in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Japan) and Telstra PM Holdings Ltd (Digicel Pacific); she is also a nominee director for the Public Sector Investment Board of Canada (PSPIB) at each of Land Services South Australia and Land Services Western Australia.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) 1979 from Monash University, a Graduate Diploma in Information Management from UNSW 1981, and an MBA from the University of RMIT 1988. She has been a Member of Chief Executive Women since 2002; was awarded the National Pearcey Medal for ‘Lifetime Achievement to the Information Technology Industry’ in 2006; and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. In 2010, she was appointed a Fellow of Monash University in recognition of her service to “the Information Technology Industry and the Status of Women”. In 2019, Fiona was appointed a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, London.
Fiona was awarded an Order of Australia – General Member Division – for services to Corporate Governance and the Aviation Sector in the King’s Birthday celebrations of 12th June 2023.
Richard Chang is Managing Director, Head of Europe, Infrastructure Investments, at the Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSP Investments). With over 25 years of experience in finance and investment, Richard has responsibility for PSP Infrastructure’s European activities. He led the team responsible for PSP Investments’ investments in the land registry sector in Australia. Richard also led the acquisition of Forth Ports and subsequent sale of several minority interests to long term investment partners, the acquisition of Angel Trains, and the sale of Alpha Trains.
Prior to joining PSP Investments, Richard spent seven years with The Carlyle Group in New York in their Infrastructure team, five years with Lazard in London in their Financial Institutions Team and six years with National Australia Bank in Melbourne.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Honours) from Monash University, a Master’s degree in Economic and Social History from the University of Oxford, a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Richard is on the Boards of Forth Ports, Land Services SA, and Chair of Roadis Transportation.
John joined Macquarie Group in 2016, with 10+ years’ experience in Infrastructure Investment, he is currently an Associate Director within the Digital Infrastructure team in Macquarie Asset Management.
John is responsible for both asset management and investment origination within the Digital Infrastructure team. While at Macquarie, John has been involved in several investments into key digital infrastructure assets including: $7.9 billion investment in VicRoads, $4.6 billion take private of Vocus Group, an Australian specialist fibre and network solutions provider; $3.0 billion acquisition of AirTrunk, an Asia Pacific hyperscale data centre platform; $1.4 billion acquisition of Western Australia’s land titles office; and $1.6 billion acquisition of South Australia’s land titles office and state valuation office.
John is currently involved in the asset management of AirTrunk, VicRoads, Land Services Western Australia, and Land Services South Australia. Prior to joining Macquarie Group, John worked in the AMP Capital unlisted infrastructure teams in Sydney, London, and New York. His focus was on the investment in, and asset management of, transportation and social infrastructure assets.
John holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Accounting) from the University of Sydney.
Gail has worked in the financial services industry for more than 35 years with a particular focus on technology and change in the banking, payments, wealth, including superannuation, and funds management sectors. At both Macquarie and BNP Paribas, she played a leadership role in building new digital and data distribution channels and as a Non-Executive director, she has worked with several growth companies employing disruptive digital business models and technologies.
Gail was awarded the Order of Australia (AO) in the Australia Day Honours list 2018 for distinguished service to the finance and banking industry, to business through a range of roles, as an advocate for technology, and as a mentor to women.
Mark is a seasoned executive with over three decades of experience in executive leadership and board positions across the US, Australia, and the UK. With a deep expertise in strategy, leadership, technology, and innovation, Mark has led significant business transformations and improvements in a variety of industries. Mark is currently a Non-Executive Director for Land Services WA and SA, Resolute Mining, and Linear Clinical Research Ltd. Mark has also served as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of multiple start-ups (Decimal Software, icetana), and has driven innovation and commercialised technology solutions, including multiple exist and listings.
Previously, as the CTO and VP of Corporate Strategy at Hewlett-Packard, Mark played a key role in orchestrating strategic initiatives, technology investment, and navigating mergers and acquisitions, significantly contributing to the company's evolution. Mark holds a BSc in Computer Science from Brookes University, Oxford, England.
John has over 30 years experience leading businesses principally in the data and technology space. He was most recently Executive General Manager at Veda (now Equifax Australia) where he held responsibility for leading the major business lines, and managing strategy, innovation, marketing and acquisitions. Prior to Veda, John was Asia Pacific President for SunGard (now FIS), and prior to that he was a Partner at KPMG.
